Windows 7 is like the crippleware flavor of shareware (as opposed to nagware) because it does have a free trial period. Why wouldn't it be? You'd think Microsoft would hardly go to the bother of specifically coding for that menu to pop up if they didn't want anyone to use it, and you still have to activate it the normal way after, if you want to use it more than 30 days.
