The story continues, with Sonic traveling through past and present many times. Rodolia then deduces that they were sent to the past. Gerem then leaves the room and EGGATS sends Sonic through a portal once again, which leaves Sonic back in the same place he was before the first encounter. There, Sonic meets Gerem, a green hedgehog who we later find out is part of a resistance group against the Sky Empire.

The duo keeps moving west and eventually come across a power plant, which was supposedly destroyed. Rodolia is on a trip to West City, but she too was taken into the portal with Sonic.

The land he ends up in is in a deep winter, and he then meets a talking ladybug named Rodolia who becomes Sonic's guide and his voice for the game. He begins his journey through East City, and later comes across the EGGATS-2013, the final boss from After the Sequel, which sends Sonic into some sort of portal. The story begins with Sonic looking out at the ruins of the 100-year-old Sky Empire, seemingly wondering to himself about what destroyed it.

The game follows the adventures of Sonic in the region known as the South Lakes through different times to learn about what happened to the legendary Sky Empire and ultimately to stop Eggman's latest plan. It has a more Metroidvania style to it, as it's called. This game is vastly different from Lake's previous fan games, but that doesn't make it any worse. The final game in the LakeFeperd series of fan games, but my favorite as well.
